Meet Our Dentists
Dr. Sky Kurlbaum
Dr. Sky Kurlbaum grew up in Kansas City, KS, graduating from Shawnee Mission East High School before attending the University of Kansas. Dr. Kurlbaum attended UMKC School of Dentistry, graduating in 2017 as one of the most productive student doctors, highly regarded by faculty and patients alike. In addition to working in private practice, Dr. Kurlbaum has also given back to the community by serving children from low-income families at a wonderful non-profit clinic in Harrisonville, Missouri, and serving seniors in nursing facilities partnering with Enable Dental.

Gabriella Burt
Practice Manager
Gabriella has been in the dental field for 6 years, starting off as a Dental Assistant and working her way up to management. Her favorite part about dentistry is explaining complex dental plans in a way that patients can understand and building strong trusting relationships with her patients. Gabriella loves to read, dance, and spend time with her husband and two German Shepherds.
Sara Murray
Registered Dental Hygienist
Sara has been practicing in the dental field for over 11 years. Sara is laser certified and has worked hard to obtain her extended care permit. Sara’s favorite part about her job is the relationships she gets to build with her patients, and educating them on how to improve their oral health. In her free time, she loves hanging out with her cute daughter Molly, going to the park, and anything that has to do with the outdoors and traveling!
Michaela Barrett
Registered Dental Hygienist
Michaela has been a registered dental hygienist for 4 years. Her favorite part of dentistry is the opportunity to connect with people from different walks of life she wouldn’t have otherwise met. Michaela loves chatting and building relationships with her patients. Outside of work, she enjoys photography and traveling.
Monica Castro
Dental Assistant
Monica has been in the dental field for 6 years. Her favorite part of dentistry is getting to build relationships with her patients during their appointments. Monica loves cooking meals for her family and friends, spending quality time with her daughter, and car rides listening to nostalgic music!
Dayton Hovenga
Lead Dental Assistant
Dayton has been in the dental field for 3 years. His favorite part about dentistry is getting to learn new things from our Doctors every day working as their right-hand man. Outside of work, Dayton loves spending time outdoors and playing different sports.
Jacob Torres
Dental Assistant
Jacob is new to dentistry, and is a natural! His favorite part about dentistry is being able to help his patients get their smiles back. Outside of work, Jacob loves to watch and participate in team sports like flag football.
Devon Danley
Dental Assistant
Devon is new to dentistry, and is loving it! His favorite part about dentistry is meeting new faces every day. In Devon’s free time, he enjoys playing flag football and working out.
Lori Jaster
Registered Dental Hygienist
Lori has been in the dental field for 6 years. Her favorite part of dentistry is getting to help people maintain a healthy smile, especially since that plays such a big part in first impressions! In Lori’s spare time, she enjoys going to the lake, concerts, going on adventures with her dog, and spending quality time with friends and family.
